It's that time again... time to update my xanga site! A lot has happened since I last wrote...
I attended another wedding. Congratulations to Greg and Abby!! Their wedding was one of the most God-honoring I've been to in a very long time. I am looking forward to another such wedding in the very near future! (The excitement still hasn't worn off about Ryanna and Randall)
Several of my friends have either gotten engaged, suddenly married or announced that they are going to have a baby. It has definitely been a month of changes.
Many disturbing things have crept into one of the Bible studies I attend and I have found once again how important it is to stand fast for what the word of God declares to be true. Many false teachings can creep in when we are unaware - that's why God warns us to be sober and vigilant in resisting the devil who is roaming about seeking whom he may devour.
Another Bible study I attend, however, has provided my with great joy and encouragement lately. Being able to minister to girls and share with them about God's call to purity in their lives is a priviledge and an honor. The girls from my Bible study with whom I was priviledged to co-lead the purity conference are wonderful sisters in Christ and refresh my soul more than I can say.
And last, but not least, I am leaving tonight for a three week trip to my beloved Chuxiong, China. I will be spending a week with my dear friend Alison in her village and traveling with her to various villages near Chuxiong where my former students live. Then I will have a week to spend with my other friends in Chuxiong. A few days in Kunming with my amazing Dutch friend, Henriette, will round out the trip. I am so excited and eager to go!!
